This bottle of nitric acid was found in the back storage room of the gallery, a room that everyone at the party had access to. No fingerprints have been found on the bottle.

Nitric acid is a strong, corrosive mineral acid. In its pure liquid form, it is a colorless liquid.Over time, the acid develops a yellow color as it decomposes into nitrogen oxides and water.

Nitric acid is used to make explosives and inks and is a strong oxidizer for industrial and lab use. In the medical field, nitric acid is used in its pure state as a caustic to remove chancres and warts.
CORONER'S
REPORT
Due to the extreme corrosive nature of nitric acid, much of the doctor’s mouth and esophagus was damaged after ingesting the poison. The severe damage to the throat then led to bleeding and swelling. DR. WEALTHY PATRIARCH died of asphyxiation as a result of poisoning.

VICTIM'S
LAST WILL and
TESTAMENT
DR. WEALTHY PATRIARCH’s Last Will and Testament was found in the his medical office. It left his entire estate, medical practice, medical book publishing rights, and savings to REBELLIOUS SON. This bequest shocked the entire family. After the Will reading, adopted ADOPTED DAUGHTER annouced that she will be dropping out of medical school and leaving the city for unknown reasons. We have been unable to learn further details about her plans.

CLOTHING
Here are the belongings of the victim at the time of the murder. These articles of clothing include a champagne stain, corroborating witness statements of CHARITABLE WIFE spilling on her husband. There is also a lipstick stain on the collar of his jacket. This stain is assumed to be from CHARITABLE WIFE as well.

The following is the content of a telegram from me, the lead investigator on this case, to you. It was sent after receiving your observations of the victim’s Last Will and Testament.
Wow Detective, we would have never noticed the similarity between the craft of this will and the signature of ROGER OLIVER in relation to REBELLIOUS SON’s painting and signature seen in the portrait of the victim. We will be sure to question the victim’s son more harshly and obtain a search warrant for his home. I am sure that this will bring us closer to finding our criminal!

These various stolen medical documents from the victim's medial practice were found in the home of REBELLIOUS SON and SCHEMING IN-LAW. These documents include patient personnel files, billing statements, and medical testing forms.
The victim’s son claims that his wife simply brought these files home from the office in order to work on organizing the practice’s medical records.

The following is the content of a telegram from me to you. It was sent after receiving your observations of the medical records found in REBELLIOUS SON’s home.
Thank you Detective! Without you, it is unlikely that we would have ever discovered that the signatures of ARTHUR CHRISTIE and WEALTHY PATRIARCH on the will are copies of the same signatures on these medical forms. After rigorous questioning, REBELLIOUS SON and SCHEMING IN-LAW confessed to combining his artistic skill and her daily access to the victim’s medical practice to create a fake will, giving themselves the entire estate.
ARREST of
SON and IN-LAW
Both REBELLIOUS SON and SCHEMING IN-LAW have been placed under arrest for obstruction of justice, and forgery. While I suspect they are guilty, there is not enough evidence to arrest the couple for murder.
VICTIM'S
AUTHENTICATED
WILL
After realizing that the previous will was a forgery, our officers searched through the victim’s medical practice and home. Upon your suggestion, we were able to find the WEALTHY PATRIARCH’s real will at the back of the family’s safe. Attached was a note reading:
DEAR CHARITABLE WIFE,
I HAVE KEPT THIS WILL SAFELY IN THE BACK OF MY SAFE WITH THE SECURE KNOWLEDGE THAT IT WILL BE FOUND BECAUSE I WILL ALWAYS BE SURE THAT YOU CAN FIND A WAY TO SPEND ALL OF MY MONEY.
After the real will was found, it was revealed that the entire estate of the victim will actually be put into a trust for the continuation of DR. WEALTHY PATRIARCH’s medical practice and the publishing of his medical textbooks. The only item left to the family was a sixth edition copy of his textbook, “Healing without Feeling: Medical Practices for the Professional Doctor”.
